Dr.Gayathri Subramanian

Gayathri born to Sri. G. Viswanathan and Smt. Radha Viswanathan. Her Father’s family is blessed with the art of Thanjavoor Paintings and Crafts. Their Paintings are in traditional manner. She married Sri Subramanian.P. P. (Classical arts and Cinema Promotor) in the year 2001 and they were blessed with a daughter P.S. Subhalakshmi, who is following the foot-steps of her mother in Dance. Gayathri started learning Bharathanatyam at the age of four from Smt. Jayanthi Menon And Guru Sri Nattuvam Paramasivam. She also learned other form of dances like Kuchupudi, Mohiniyattom, Keralanatanam, Kathakali and Thiruvathira during her college days.

Gayathri turned her specialization to “Keralanatanam” the art form crated by the Legend Natanakalanidhi Sri.Guru Gopinath and attained “nadanabhooshanam” from Sree Swathithirunal Govt. College of Music, Trivandrum. She continues her experiments and research in keralanatam, while analyzing its close proximity to Philosophy and Aesthetics. She also gives Authentic and Classical Dances. Gayathri presently performs Keralanatanam and Bharathanatyam

  • Award from Sri Sri Ravisankar in the year 2006 for the Training given to the participants of "PUNARNAVA" the Mega Mohiniyattom Performance (The Guinness Record Show) and also performed in the show
